The best places to find jewelry
Here are two questions that I often get from clients and followers:
"Where do you buy your jewelry?"
or
"Where can I find interesting jewelry that is not too costly?
If you haven't noticed yet, I'm crazy about jewelry. In fact, you will never see me leave home without at least a pair of earrings.
I also have to confess I am a collector. If it makes it any better, we don't need too much space to store some charming accessories, right?
MY GO-TO SPOTS
I look for jewelry everywhere, from inexpensive stores to high-end designers.
And I usually wait for sales.
I recommend visiting multi-brand stores. They have a wide variety as they carry many designers, so it's definitely worth checking them out.
OLD BUT GOLD?
Another great option is to browse second-hand stores. I like vintage pieces a lot.
If you're also interested in thrifting, you might end up scoring amazing finds. But pay attention to possible flaws. Depending on the product's condition, I have it cleaned and gold plated.
BROADEN YOUR HORIZON
Every time I travel, I attend street fairs or local markets. I search for unique and handmade items that I know I wouldn't find in New York.
HOME IS WHERE THE GOOD STUFF IS
In Brazil, my home country, there is a lot of jewelry in different materials, colors, and price points. Whenever I go back to visit my family, I find time to hunt for new jewelry. If you ask me, I'd say you'll have the best time shopping for gems there.
THINGS TO AVOID
Stay away from jewelry that looks cheap. For example, a very shiny yellow gold metal doesn't look good and it will probably get scratched easily.
Don't forget that earrings and necklaces are close to your face. So the finishing and shades you choose directly impact your outfit. Pick colors that enhance your natural beauty and multiply your wardrobe options with different combinations.
Finally, accessories bring personality to your outfit. Do you prefer delicate pieces or bold ones? Honestly, you can wear both. It all depends on the occasion or how you want to be seen at that moment.
