HOW TO AVOID WINTER WARDROBE BOREDOM

I hope you are having a gorgeous beginning to the year.

As you know, I started 2023 by going on a trip to Israel and Jordan. My husband and I had everything planned to go in 2020. Sadly, it was one of the things we needed to cancel. We had a great time! I loved everything. The beautiful sunsets in Tel Aviv (a city that reminded me a lot of my hometown Rio), the historical sites like Cesarea, and the energy that Jerusalem has. It's like no other place I have visited. We also visited Petra, in Jordan, which is as stunning as people say.

Here's my takeaway from this trip in terms of packing and styling:

I had two jackets with me, and I could wear them separately or as layers. One was the Uniqlo light-down jacket. It's fitted and perfect for rainy or not-so-cold weather. The second jacket is slightly oversized and made of wool. It had sufficient room to wear over the down jacket, a sweater, and a T-shirt.

SMALL TALK WITH NATALIE BRETT, INTUITIVE BUSINESS & SUCCESS COACH

We all make a list of New Year's resolutions, right? I decided to talk with Natalie this month since she specializes in energy management, business growth, and holistic living.

MC: What are the most important things we need to consider when creating our goals for the year?

NB: Always remember that your goals should be crafted around your version of success and represent what you are passionate about. Society, social media, and public figures have taught us to accept that there is only one path to success, but this is not true. There are many different paths available, and success will look different to everyone.

MC: How can we be clear about our goals?

NB: Tap into the emotions and experience behind your goals. Many times it's not the end goal we genuinely desire but the experience we receive on our way to the destination. Become clear on the "why" behind your goal, and you will move forward with more dedication.

MC: Is it OK to review and change our goals?

NB: Absolutely! We constantly evolve, and as this happens, we move in and out of various seasons of life. It is okay to release a goal that no longer aligns with your path.
