As I'm writing, I'm getting ready to take a week off.
We all know now how important it is to disconnect a little, right? Taking a break is much needed if we want to be more creative and have better insights about everything, including our work.
I planned some short and sweet posts to inspire you to create outfits for hot & humid days as well as pack for your upcoming trips.
Don't forget to check out my Pinterest and Instagram. You know me - I can't totally unplug for one whole week!
If you're heading back to work in person soon and don't know what to wear, I totally get you. This season has been the busiest so far for me as women are trying to reconnect with their personal styles and keep up with all the changes in the world. Not to say that many people switched jobs during the pandemic and never had the chance to meet coworkers or visit their offices.
By the way, I can help you (in person or virtually) to start Fall strong. Reply to this email to book a free discovery call. Sounds good?
STRUGGLING WITH YOUR SUMMER WARDROBE? Here's some inspiration for you:
SMALL TALK WITH ANTONIO JUNIOR ALVES, A HAIRDRESSER BASED IN NYC
MC - Junior, summer isn't the best time for our hair, is it? Swimming pools are tough on blondes. Besides, salty water makes our hair drier. What is the easiest thing to do to protect our hair and still enjoy the season?
Junior - Our hair also gets damaged by the sun, but it's not like our skin that we can easily tell. We should use a leave-in with sun protection daily, not only when we go to the beach. Here's another tip: always wet your hair with mineral water before and after you jump into the pool or the sea. It's really important, especially if you have blonde hair since swimming pools can turn your hair green. In addition, it's good to wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo once a week to properly remove all the residues. During summer, I recommend replacing the conditioner with a mask. Leave it for 3 minutes. Finally, don't forget to wear a hat!
MC - What's best: to get a haircut or highlights done now or after the Summer is over?
Junior - There is no problem if you have your highlights done now, after all, you want to look beautiful! You just need to take care of your hair appropriately. For haircuts, I would wait until September.
MC - Could you recommend some products with different price points?
Junior - Yes, there are many products, starting from $9 up to $60. These are my favorites:
Redken One United All-in-One Leave-in Conditioner
Joico Defy Damage Protective Shield
Klorane Protective Oil with Yilang-Ylang Wax
Aveda Suncare After-Sun Hair Masque
Revlon UniqOne All in One Hair Treatment
Schwarzkopf BG Sun Protect After Sun Conditioner Cream
