How to look amazing in pleated pants

Thinking of trying new pants this Spring? Go for pleated trousers! They are both cool and elegant at the same time.

This style is a beautiful choice if you want to put on a smart outfit for your first in-person meeting with clients (after a long time WFH) or for those of you who are making a slow comeback to the office, whether it is full-time or in a more of a hybrid work model.

Here are some tips on how or why you should wear pleated trousers:

Pair with a fitted top

The easiest way is wearing pleated pants with a fitted top, such as a simple tank top, or a bodysuit. This way you will compensate for the volume on the bottom.

A trick to appear slimmer

If you wish to camouflage your stomach area, pleats are usually an interesting option. But be careful: it really depends on the cut, the pleats, and the fabric.

A golden rule

Fitting here is very important, as the sizing. The pleats need to be close together.

Feminine and stylish

These trousers are inspired by menswear. So if you wish to bring on some femininity, search for tops with ruffles, asymmetry, and volume in the sleeves. Pick any of them and I swear: You will look g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!

Last but not least: the shoes!

Choosing the right shoes can also define how feminine you will look. In that case, I strongly recommend wearing sandals or mules, instead of a loafer, for example.

How is your work-life looking like for the next few months? Are you moving from a Zoom call participant to finally going back to the office?
