Day 5 of our Spring Cleaning! Today, let's focus on our eyeglasses, sunglasses, and jewelry.
Eyeglasses, if you wear them Sort your eyeglasses out based on your current prescription. Decide if it's worth keeping any with an old prescription. If the frames are still in good condition but you don't want them, you can take them to a LensCrafters store - they will be recycled for someone in need.
Sunglasses Get rid of any that have scratches or are not in good condition. After all, you need to take good care of your eyes! Evaluate if you could donate any frames in good condition for recycling; see above.
Jewelry: Storage One of my favorite closet categories! First, I suggest you figure out if where you keep your jewelry is working for you. Are you able to easily see what you have in the morning? What would work best for you, considering your space? There is no right or wrong answers here!
Any Missing Pieces? Look at each pair of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and brooches. Do you think they look good? Are there any missing pieces? Is there a tangled necklace? Can you repair it? Use a jewelry cleaning and polishing cloth to clean them all.
Donate or Recycle Do you have pieces that do not fit your style? Donate them. If they are not in good condition, send them to recycling.
Fine Jewelry Do you have precious jewelry? Even if it has problems or is a significant family piece you don't like to wear, many designers accept it for recycling into a completely new piece. Imagine how good it would be if you had something you got from a lovely one that you would want to wear every day.
If you love jewelry like me, it's possible you won't be able to finish today. Don't worry; finish tomorrow!
