Hello, September! The most exciting time of year to get dressed
HELLO, SEPTEMBER
As the saying goes, "September is the January for fashion." With Fall approaching—often considered the most exciting time of year to get dressed—it's time to prepare for the season ahead. New York Fashion Week is just around the corner, presenting Spring 2025 collections. My job is to translate what designers bring to the runway into practical advice for you so you can update your wardrobe according to your unique style.
During Fashion Week, I'll also be leading a course for stylists and fashion industry professionals, something I've done for nine years with a business partner from Brazil.
This August marked 15 years since I moved to this country. Running my business as a Style & Image Strategist is a point of pride for me, especially as a female immigrant small business owner. I'm grateful to work in a field I truly love, where I can make a difference in women's confidence. Thank you all for being a part of this journey!
Transition to Fall Wardrobe
Here are some ideas to help you transition your wardrobe to Ffall:
This month, I'll be talking about Fall trends in my Journal and on Instagram. I'll discuss items we'll see more in stores at various price points. For now, here are three key trends to keep an eye on. Stay tuned for more:
Animal Print
Capes
Colors like red and brown
Belts
If there's one accessory that can elevate an outfit or make it feel more current, it's a belt. I recommend investing in a leather belt that will last longer—unless, of course, you prefer vegan alternatives. Here are some options in stores right now, perfect for wearing all year round. Hint:Wearing a belt over a blazer will instantly update your look.

Are You Ready to Embrace Gray Hair?
Maybe not just yet. I always discuss gray hair during my Color Analysis sessions with my clients. It's about more than just "looking older or not." The more knowledge you have, the easier it is to decide about changes. Read more here, and feel free to reach out with any questions. A quick note: A similar idea applies when deciding whether to get highlights and which technique to choose.
