The Little White Dress

How great is it to wear a white dress in the Summer? It's so comfortable and elegant.

Just like the black dress is known for being a wardrobe staple, the little white dress is perfectly suitable for warmer days and nights.

By the way, it's totally fine if you wear it before and after Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, all right?

In fact, it just came to my mind two questions that I usually get from my clients when we talk about this topic:

First, many people complain that white clothes turn yellow after storing them during Fall or Winter. Indeed, it can happen to any clothes that aren't washed properly before being put aside for many months. But don't panic! I'll write a journal entry to address this issue by the end of Summer.

The second question is related to trends. Some women are worried if it is still worth buying voluminous dresses with puff sleeves. This kept me thinking if any flowy dresses are timeless.

That's why I started to look for options of white dresses that will still look trendy for the next few years to come. And since we shouldn't buy clothes to wear in only one way, I'm sharing some styling ideas for very casual and smart casual events, such as a dinner party with friends.

It's important to remember that there are different tones of whites and buying the right fabric makes a huge difference. For instance, pure white is a bright color that can be a bit too vibrant for many complexions. This is exactly my case, yet I will never give up on wearing a white dress or a white shirt. So what do I do? Well, what works for me is finding clothes that have some cleavage or details on the top. I also add jewelry in a color that is in my palette. Finally, I choose a beautiful lipstick color. Try doing the same and thank me later. ;)
