Are you ready for Closet Spring Cleaning Day 8?
It is time to check your tops: shirts, blouses, and sweaters.
T-shirts and tank tops Take a careful look to see if any of them need to be replaced—maybe it's time to swap them for fresh ones, especially those trusty basics you wear all the time. Don't keep old T-shirts to wear at home or as pajamas. You already worked on this area of your closet last week. Clothes in bad shape need to go away.
Button-down shirts Are they still looking sharp? Are there no stains or missing buttons? Do they still fit you well? Take some minutes to try the ones you last wore a long time ago. Consider donating what doesn't align with your style or fit you well.
Sweaters Take some time to use the fabric shaver or comb mentioned on Day 4 to remove pilings. You'll be amazed at how fresh they'll look! Also, I encourage you to hand wash your sweaters and lay them flat to dry. Check how I do it here. Trust me, it works wonders—even for delicate cashmere. Wash them all before storing them to avoid moths during the warm season.
Tip of the Day Your blouses and button-down shirts should be hung, all ready to be worn.
Your knits should be folded to keep their shape.
For hangers, I suggest you have the same type and color for all your clothes, except for coats because they are heavier.
