What is Virtual Styling and how does it work?
I have been working online with clients who live in all kinds of places - even before the pandemic started! - and I always thought that it worked pretty well.
Oftentimes it even has some advantages depending on the person's busy lifestyle.
With the exception of a Color Analysis - when you get to know exactly the best colors for your complexion - all the other personal styling and image consulting steps can be done virtually.
Amazing, isn't it?
In fact, there's not much difference in doing it in person or online. Perhaps, the biggest change is that when I meet my clients face to face I am more hands-on, doing most of the work.
Meanwhile, in the virtual process they need to be more proactive.
For example, clients will be asked to do some homework, such as take photos and learn the process of examining their closet thoroughly. But I am positive the results, from the learning point of view, can be even better depending on how hardworking and motivated the person is.
After all, practice makes perfect, right?
Here are the steps of my Virtual Styling service:
Style assessment;
Mood board creation;
Evaluation of your wardrobe including accessories;
Orientation for a closet cleaning - if that's the case;
Lifestyle assessment;
Set of the image goals;
Silhouette proportions assessment;
Orientation about color combination, contrast, prints, etc.;
Suggestion of shopping - if necessary;
Creation of different outfits including existing and new clothes & accessories.
It takes around 6 weeks and includes 4 Zoom calls.
I will also design a micro website that only the two of us can have access to. There you can find all your clothes and other photos that I might request along the way!
Here are some examples of a virtual personal shopping step. My client needed ideas on how to style this skirt in different ways. Considering we are in the summer and soon fall will be here, I created two boards including outfits for cooler temperatures as well.
