What's "Quiet Luxury"?

This term means a different approach to luxury, more mindful and understated.

Think about a beautiful bag, very well made with high-quality leather from a sophisticated brand, but with no apparent logo. The person who carries this bag doesn't want to show up. They have that bag because they value it, and it will be recognized only by a few people.

On the other hand, the opposite of quiet luxury would be a bag with a brand name loud and clear. It's an easily recognizable symbol of a luxury product that costs lots of money and requires the owner to be a part of a group that can afford to purchase it.

Some people criticize the term quiet luxury. That's because it refers to upscale brands as an example, but we can adapt it to one's reality.

For example, if you decide to buy a coat because you need it and it's a staple in your wardrobe, you might value softness and warmth, and you will look for the best you can afford instead of choosing another one that has a flash logo on it just because of the brand. In the same way, it is what your quiet luxury is.

How do you feel about quiet luxury? Do you like logos on your clothes or accessories, or not?

I always discuss this when I do a Style Bliss or a Style Overhaul of my clients. Our clothes must be aligned with our style goals and represent ourselves.
