What I Wore—and Why It Worked
Last week, I wore an outfit that sparked many compliments and questions, especially on Instagram Stories. So, I thought I’d break it down here and explain how I put it together.
That day, I had a microneedling session with my aesthetician in the morning, followed by an event at a store. Since I couldn’t wear makeup and didn’t want anything touching my neck, I had to make choices that were comfortable and aligned with my style.
Here’s what I wore—and why:
Fitted, off-the-shoulder top: I wanted to keep my neckline open after the treatment, and this top felt both feminine and simple.
Baggy, acid-wash jeans: Because the top was fitted, I chose bottoms with volume to create balance. The jeans added a relaxed, modern vibe.
Sleek boots: Since the pants were baggy and I’m petite, I wore sleek boots to elongate my legs and keep the silhouette clean.
A belt: Always a good choice—it pulls the look together and creates definition.
Statement gold earrings: With no makeup on, I added big earrings to draw attention to my face and bring some light and contrast.
The result? An outfit that felt like me, balanced comfort and style, and worked for both parts of my day. Nothing was overdone, but everything was intentional.
Sometimes, that’s all it takes.
