How to look effortlessly chic: tonal combination for beautiful cold days

The temperature is finally dropping here in New York. Soon, we will be wearing our warmest coats to beat the cold. I bet most of these outwear pieces are black. However, for now, light monochromatic outfits match perfectly with beautiful and chilly days.

@linhniller

 Here are five tips to match light colors this time of the year:

  1. Are you matching beige or off-white clothes? Remember, you can pick different tones.

  2. Choosing different textures or details, such as fringes, makes your outfit look way more interesting.

  3. Elevate your game by adding jewelry in your favorite metal color (gold, silver, or rosé).

  4. For your shoes, I suggest picking tan or brown colors for Fall/ Winter, in leather or suede.

  5. Shoes and bags don't need to have the same color. To spice things up, go for different materials and avoid black unless your goal is to build a black & white look. Add another item in black to balance things up.

If you get bored wearing black in the cold months, try to include more colors in your wardrobe. It can improve your mood. If you tend towards neutral tones, learning the best colors for your complexion helps. You will know what earrings, scarves, or lipstick will fit you.  After getting her color analysis done, this is what my client said:

"My color analysis was fascinating and enlightening. I felt more confident about what to shop for - especially with tops - to suit my skin color tones. I’m looking at this aspect in a way I never did before I consulted with you".
