The best new Chelsea boots for Fall (and Winter)
I have just returned from a short trip to Finger Lakes and The Adirondacks. It was my first time in both areas!
I confess that I have been to Upstate New York a few times, but only to cross the Canadian border.
This time my goal was to see the autumnal foliage so we packed our bags and headed to see some beautiful colors.
I wish we had time to stay longer, but this brief getaway got me inspired to write about these new Chelsea boots that are trendy this Fall. In fact, it's so popular that many brands have this design available in stores now.
Think about Chelsea boots meet combat boots! It's basically a utilitarian update to the classic Chelsea boots because it's more robust. It also seems appropriate for our favorite pastime at the moment: traveling to reconnect with nature!
Some of these utilitarian Chelsea boots are water resistant or have a warm lining, so if you need to add winter boots to your closet and they fit your personal style, these might be a good option to buy today.
Quick tip: Yes, it's true that shoes have the power to make us look thinner or bigger, taller or shorter. It all depends on your goals.
How would you like to look or be perceived by other people? This is what we call personal style. I always suggest you stay true to it!
If you want to try this trend but you're concerned that it can look visually heavy, here is my suggestion: go for a model that is more Chelsea than combat boots, with soles that aren't so thick and in the same color as the boots themselves.
