The best flat shoes for petites

There is no doubt: you should always look for the most comfortable shoes. However, you should keep in mind that there are differences in style and the effect shoes can create in our outfits, even if they are all ballet flats.

In my opinion, women don't need to wear heels at formal events.

In fact, you can find so many gorgeous flats that will be perfect for an evening formal attire. And this isn't necessarily related to expensive brands, but the shoes' style.

There are two important things to consider when buying flat shoes: how high or how low the vamp is, and the toe box: whether it has rounded or pointed toes.

Here are some examples:

The first and third flats have pointed toes. They are more elegant than the one in the middle, which, by the way, is a Chloé (a high-end brand).

Having rounded toes, you can see that these shoes look more casual and they wouldn't look the same with formal clothes as the other ones.

The two black flats have rounded toes, they also send a message of femininity and romance.

The light ones have pointed toes and a high vamp that don't elongate your legs as the low vamp shoes do. It's very modern, so it's the perfect choice if it fits your style. If you're petite and wish to look taller, go for shoes with a low vamp, like the first one in board 3.

Even better if it has a color similar to your skin tone.

There is no right or wrong here. What you need to consider is your personal style and the message you want to deliver with your outfits. Remember, we always send a message with the clothes we wear.
