Jackets for Petites

Hello, petite ladies! Are all the jackets in the stores too oversized for your frame? I know your pain. I am also short and deal with the same problem.

Although there are some great options for a short jacket now, the sleeves are too long sometimes. So here are my tips for you:

  1. Find a good tailor. If you are petite, your clothes must fit you perfectly.

  2. Some stores have petite clothes. Sadly, the options are limited. So the best thing is to analyze each piece you like. A professional tailor will help you decide if you should have it altered or returned.

  3. Avoid super long sleeves and show your wrists if possible.

  4. You can choose longer coats (outwear), but shorter jackets will look better when you wear dresses and skirts.

  5. Consider your entire outfit. If the pants have some volume, go for a fitted top. If your coat is oversized, avoid matching it with a large bag. It’s all about balance!
