It's wintertime - let's talk about layers!

When it's freezing outside, I like to wear my winter coat with a couple of layers underneath. However, if the temperature is above 40ºF, I like to add a Uniqlo light coat under my wool coats. This way, there's no need to wear a heavy jacket. Once it gets warmer during the day, I layer down.

Mastering the art of winter layers is both convenient and exciting. The mix of textures makes our outfits fun. That's why I wrote five tips to help you with feeling cozy and looking great this winter:

1. You will need an oversized wool coat to recreate this look. Remember to add extra layers underneath too.

2. This is ideal for a trip. Pack two coats and style them in three ways.

3. Take the light-down coat off during the day if it gets warmer. It can fit in a small pouch inside your backpack.

4. This is practical when traveling to cool places during Summer or mid seasons.

5. The light-down coat is perfect for rainy weather. It looks fashionable when you let the hood outside of your wool coat.

How do you usually layer up in winter?

I have a client that used to struggle with layering her existing clothes. When she scheduled a Styling Hour with me, we came up with many ideas that made her feel stylish and confident.

Getting dressed this season shouldn't be boring or hard! Not to mention you don't need to go shopping for more clothes!
