How to wear clothes and accessories made of crochet

Have you noticed how crochet is making a comeback?

The 70's inspired fashion is perfect for Summer, road trips, and relaxing days off.

But we can also see this trend in the Pre-Fall collections, which means it will stay here for much longer. After all, cardigans, sweaters, or denim jackets look even more interesting with crochet details.

As you know, because handmade and DIY fashion got a boost during the pandemic, crochet clothes and accessories became popular again.

Are you obsessed with this style? Then here are three relevant crochet tips:

IT'S CASUAL

Crochet pieces are usually more suitable for informal occasions, especially if they're colorful. However, there are beautiful crochet tops that you could take to formal parties, such as the beige one pictured above/below. I actually met someone whose wedding dress was being designed with crochet. And let me tell you, it was gorgeous, not to say incredibly unique. Amazing idea, isn't it?

IT'S FEMININE

This material has a romantic feel. If your personal style is more feminine, then this trend is perfect for you. My advice is to choose just one crochet piece when you come up with your outfit. For instance, if you pick a crochet top, don't try to match it with a crochet bag. Even if it has just a small detail, it might be too much.

IT'S ADAPTABLE

So you aren't into ladylike clothes but still like the idea of having one special crochet item? No problem. If you're wondering how you can make it true to your style, I got an easy solution for you! Just pair it with pieces that are opposite to those romantic elements. As an example, try to style a crochet top with tailored pants. Or even add a blazer to a crochet dress. Cool, right?
