How to Style Butter Yellow

Soft and light, Butter Yellow has been a favorite over the past few seasons — for good reason! It’s easy to pair with other colors, and because it’s not too bright, warm, or cool, it looks good on everyone.

If you’ve had your color analysis done with me, you’ve probably heard me say: Butter Yellow is a universal color.

Another reason it’s become so popular is that it looks amazing in accessories like bags, shoes, and scarves.

Here are a few easy ways to style Butter Yellow this season:

  • For a business look

Pair it with a neutral like gray. Gray will balance it out beautifully if you’re worried that a pastel might feel too soft or girlish for the office. Other great options? Try navy, brown, olive green, or even burgundy. See how many possibilities there are?

  • For a playful vibe:

Mix Butter Yellow with light blue or denim — any shade works! It creates a fresh, relaxed look that still feels intentional.

My tip: There’s no “perfect” color combination. It always comes down to your vibe for the day—your plans, your mood, and how you want to feel.
