How to have a more sustainable wardrobe

I want to share a little story with you.

I've had this sweater for nearly ten years. I know it because the tag says "Fall Winter 2014."

I remember buying it because it was oversized, which was a new trend at the time. I wasn't sure how it would look on my petite frame, but I decided to give it a try. Funny enough, now it doesn't even seem oversized!

This sweater came from an H&M special collection, known for its higher quality and slightly steeper higher price. I was drawn to the warm color, the intricate details, and the soft fabric. So, I took the plunge and bought it.

I'm glad I did because it still looks great after all these years!

Part of the reason this sweater has lasted so long is that I take good care of it. I treat it as if it were an expensive designer piece—I hand wash it and lay it flat to air dry.

If you want to build a more sustainable wardrobe, start by taking care of the clothes you already have. It’s a simple step that helps your favorite pieces last longer.

I often discuss this with my clients, no matter what kind of service they come to me for. So, I’m curious: what's your wardrobe's oldest piece of clothing?
