How I Fell in Love with Vintage Jewelry—And Where I Shop
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I love jewelry. My collection is filled with pieces I’ve bought in places I’ve lived and visited—street markets, online stores, finds from my hometown of Rio de Janeiro, and second-hand and vintage shops.
I first discovered second-hand stores by shopping for jewelry, and I think it’s one of the easiest ways to start enjoying vintage shopping.
One store in New York City that’s really special to me is Pippin Vintage. I first learned about it from a teacher during a Vintage Shopping course I took at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
I don’t visit Pippin Vintage often, but when I do, I always find something unique to add to my collection. While I typically gravitate toward jewelry from the ’60s and ’70s, on my last visit, I discovered some stunning ’80s pieces—a necklace and earrings! I’m already imagining all the ways I can style them.
Are you curious to see what I found? Let me know! I’ll share another post soon with my latest catches from Pippin and other vintage stores and fairs.
And don’t forget to follow me on Pinterest where I’ve got a board dedicated to accessories!
