Do you know what your color contrast is?

When I do a Color Analysis test, I need to observe my clients' natural contrast on their faces.

Natural contrast is the difference between light and dark considering your skin, eyes, hair, and eyebrows. When you repeat your contrast on the clothes and accessories you wear, you create harmony. As a consequence, it enhances your natural beauty.

I selected some photos to explain how this theory works. They are the perfect examples to show different levels of contrast.

Take a look at the model on the left wearing a cream and black cardigan. Can you notice a high contrast? She has light skin and dark hair. We find the same balance in her cardigan.

Next, check out the model on the right side. She wears a tan and chocolate sweater that has a medium contrast. Her natural beauty has much less difference between light and dark. That's why she looks gorgeous with those stripes. You can find the same effect on the other models.

But don't worry. You can still wear the pieces you like.

There are ways to compensate for their effect on our complexion. For instance, I love stripes. This is my favorite print. I have a white and navy T-shirt that I know it's not the best for me because of my medium contrast. To neutralize it, I wear bold lipstick colors or darker sunglasses. This technique creates more contrast on my face.

While your color palette is only one, your contrast can change if you dye your hair, go gray, or get too tanned. You will learn how to deal with this alteration during your color analysis.

Are you curious to learn about your contrast?

My approach is simple. I won't put you inside a box with limited options on what to wear. It's the opposite. You'll find out what works for you and have the power to make decisions on what to put on.

It will also help you to have a cohesive and more sustainable wardrobe.
