A step-by-step guide to shopping your own closet

Are you taking a break from work? Why not use some of that downtime to go shopping—without spending a dime?

That's right! You might find hidden gems in your closet that you either forgot about or didn't know how to style differently.

Here are five steps to help you shop your closet and enjoy these relaxing days at home:

Step 1: Start with the Current Season

Begin with your winter clothes. Take everything out of your closet and sort them into different piles: sweaters, pants, T-shirts, etc.

Step 2: Clean Out Your Closet

If you haven't cleaned your closet recently (it's good to do this at least twice a year), now is the perfect time.

  • Get rid of any items that are worn out or no longer your style.

  • If you find something stained or needing alterations, wash it or take it to your dry cleaner or tailor.

Step 3: Mix and Match

Take one of your favorite sweaters and try it on with different pants.

Great! Now, how about pairing it with skirts? It's cold outside, so check if your tights are in good condition. If not, add them to your shopping list. Tights are affordable and can transform your outfits.

Step 4: Experiment with Accessories

The fun isn't over yet!

  • Try your outfits with boots.

  • Add accessories like scarves and experiment with different color combinations.

There are endless possibilities!

Step 5: Capture Your Looks

Get your phone ready and take photos of your outfits. This will help when you're getting ready in the morning or packing for a trip.

Easy, right? How many new outfits did you create? Which one is your new favorite look?
