I can't believe Spring is finally a few days away.

No wonder why we have started to see candy or pastel colors in stores.

They are associated with Spring and Easter, which is funny because I often see my clients feel confused about it.

They don't know if it's OK to wear these colors all year round, or even if they can look professional in a light blue shirt or a peachy blouse.

So here are my tips:

1. Pastel colors are light and soft. Talking about the psychology of colors, they send a message of peacefulness, neutrality, innocence, and purity. But you don't need to wear them from head to toe, you can mix them with other colors and send a different message, such as creativity.

2. They look especially great with some neutrals, creating a sense of sophistication to the outfit.

3. You'll probably look better with some pastel colors than others. This happens to all of us. For example, I avoid baby blue and light pink near my face. That's because they aren't good for me. On the other hand, buttery yellows are warmer and match my complexion. If I choose to wear a shirt in a color that is too soft or too cool for my skin tone, I will balance things out with jewelry and make-up. 

4. You can choose to wear pants or skirts in pastel colors. When you do that, pick a richer color for the top.

5. You can also choose pastel colors for accessories such as a belt or a bag. There are plenty of options out there!
