5 tips on how to mix gold and silver jewelry
This week I gave a mini training on my Instagram stories about how to mix gold and silver jewelry.
I got so many comments that I decided to write a post about it.
Here are questions that I got a lot from clients and readers":
"How can I wear this gold bracelet if my wedding ring is white gold?"
"Do I need to remove my gold necklace if I want to wear a silver bracelet?""
"I am wearing silver jewelry, can I wear a belt with a gold buckle?""
There are no specific rules for these questions, but I will give my personal opinion on how to mix gold and silver jewelry in a chic and modern way.
My first advice is to try it and see how you feel.
Tip 1: Proportion is key when we plan an outfit.
Choose one of the metals to show up more than the other, in bolder pieces or in a larger quantity. Don't do half and half.
Tip 2. If you look better in gold jewelry, wearing it next to your face will enhance your beauty.
It means you have a warm undertone. So choose gold to be predominant in earrings or necklaces. Differently, if you have a cool undertone, you will look more beautiful in silver.
Tip 3. Mix it up!
You can layer necklaces, bracelets and rings with different metals, just follow tip number 1.
Tip 4. You will find it easier to mix metals if you are wearing solid colors, instead of prints.
The mix can even be the focal point of your outfit and add some personality to it. I love this!
Tip 5. Don't worry about your wedding ring!
You can mix it with rings or bracelets with other metals and stones. I think it is cool! Try the ring on the other hand and see how you feel.
I’d love to receive a photo of your mix of jewelry by email or an Instagram DM!
