3 different ways of wearing a classic cardigan

When I ask my clients to show me the pieces in their wardrobe that they struggle to wear, cardigans are usually one of them.

Besides being a perfect layering piece during Winter, cardigans can also be good for mid temperatures, just think of them as a sweater. Here in NY, we wear sweaters for such a long time, that we can’t have a cardigan to be just a... cardigan!

Here are 3 different ways of wearing a classic cardigan::

1. Half-tucked

A perfect look for a work day: Cardigans can be half-tucked like a button down shirt.

2. Front to back

If you are going to a girl's night out: Just wear it front to back. It's unexpected and you can add a necklace. The same can be done with a crew neck cardigan, you can leave one or two buttons opened.

3. Asymmetrical

Date night: Make it asymmetrical and show one shoulder. You can wear a cami or a lace bra under it, depends on your style.

That’s exactly what I do with my client's wardrobe. I multiply what they have, always considering their style, complexion, and what they like to enhance in their bodies.

I also loved these:

Have you ever worn a cardigan in one of these ways?

What pieces of wardrobe would you like to learn to style?

Cheers,
